Getting rid of the Twang noise in a VSR PDF Print E-mail
Written by TheBauer

The twang noise when you fire your VSR based rifle has a distinct metal twaaaaang, usually caused by the metal parts vibrating together.

Theres a simple way to reduce this to just the thud of the piston hitting the cylinder head by wrapping the spring guide with some PTFE tape.

It appears how ever i may have put slightly to much on as i do encounter some slight resistance working the bolt, something that no one else has mentioned.

Heres another way for VSR users to increase their hop effect, this does how ever eliminate the V hop the VSR unit gives, so if your using a standard or a nineball rubber it "might" not be that effective, you should how ever get better results on a firefly or KM hop rubber where the V is also in the rubber as well.
